Chloe Carmichael
Forensic Accountant (Consultant)
Chloe is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and has worked as a forensic accountant for nearly 15 years in private practice, for regulatory bodies and in-house for a bank.
Chloe currently works as a consultant advising law firms, investigation practitioners and security & intelligence consultants on a wide range of forensic accountancy issues relating to criminal and regulatory investigations, company disputes, private claims brought by individuals and matrimonial disputes. Recent cases have involved analysing misappropriation of funds, interrogating large amounts of markets data to identify patterns of unusual activity, calculating loss of profits to assist in quantum claims and reviewing the financial statements and internal control systems of companies.
In 2011, Chloe was a prosecution witness for the Financial Services Authority in relation to a successful prosecution of a multi-million pound boiler room fraud. The case was heard at Southwark Crown Court. Chloe prides herself on finding straightforward, honest and fair solutions to even the most complicated financial disputes.
